A Foray into Craniosacral Therapy

In today’s fast-paced world, stress often shows up in our bodies — through tension, exhaustion, as pain, or even as sleep disturbance. One gentle yet powerful way to restore balance and relaxation is through Craniosacral Therapy (CST), a subtle hands-on treatment that helps your body heal and releases fascia in the body.

What Is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy is a light-touch, non-invasive technique that focuses on the craniosacral system — the membranes, and fluid that surround and protect your brain and spinal cord. This system plays a vital role in your overall health, influencing your nervous system, immune function, and emotional well-being. It is a great reset for the body and helps to release fascial restrictons in your system as well. I personally do whole Craniosacral sessions as well as incorporate it into both traditional massages and facials.

During a session, your therapist (me) uses gentle pressure (no more than the weight of a nickel!) to release restrictions in the body. These restrictions can form from stress, injury, or tension and may block the body’s natural rhythm and ability to self-correct and for fascial restrictions to form.

CST encourages the body’s own healing processes. By improving the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and calming the nervous system, it helps restore harmony and balance throughout the body. Many clients describe the experience as deeply relaxing — a state where the body can finally let go and reset.

People seek CST for many reasons, including:

  • Stress and tension relief

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Chronic pain or fatigue

  • Temporomandibular Jaw Discomfort

  • Emotional or mental overwhelm

  • Sleep disturbances

Even if you’re simply looking for a way to relax more deeply, CST can help you deeply reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm and sense of ease.

Craniosacral Therapy is more than just relaxation — it’s about helping your body find balance and resilience. Through gentle touch and mindful care, it supports the body’s innate ability to heal itself — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
